This depends on how many finished images you need and what type of industry you're in. If you do a lot of public speaking, sales, or consulting and you rely on your image, I would recommend either the Redefine or Rebrand sessions. These sessions will give you more flexibility with time, location options, and number of finished images. For people who just need 1 headshot for their LinkedIn and website, the Restart session is the best choice.
While this depends on your industry and target audience, I always recommend sticking with solid colors and avoiding busy patterns. We want the focus of your headshots to be on YOU, not what you're wearing. Bring a few different outfits to your session and we can decide what works best for you.
Our studio background (gray or white) works great for everyone and is a good place to start for people who just a need a quick headshot. Outdoor and on-location sessions offer a greater variety of images for people looking for a more unique headshot experience. These sessions will include headshots as well as environmental portraits to give you a full arsenal of high quality images to use in your marketing efforts.
Stop right there and get that thought out of your brain. Pretty much everyone I photograph says some version of this at the beginning of their session. The key to great headshots is confidence, not attractiveness. Being confident in front of the camera and finding your most genuine expressions is a skill that anyone can learn.
I will never ask you to "smile". When you tell people to "smile" it feels like yearbook picture day. You end up with fake smiles that don't capture a person's true essence. My goal is to make you forget the camera is even there. I will help you get into the right poses and angles without making you feel completely uncomfortable and stiff.
I hear this often as well. The truth is that you just don't know how because you've never practiced! I'll show you the key in pulling off those confident looks as well as finding expressions that are truly unique to you. We all make these expressions every day, we just don't often practice making them in front of a camera. My one request is this: don't be afraid to try new expressions! There are no mistakes in a headshot session.
No matter which session you choose, you will have a lot of images to choose from when narrowing down your favorites. This can be a little overwhelming, so we can help you with the selection process. If your package includes 1 retouched image, it's best to choose the most approachable, friendly expression that will work well for all of your marketing needs. If you're getting multiple retouched images, try to choose a good mix of approachable, serious, and unique looks to give you a variety of images to promote across your brand.
Depending on how you use your new headshots, you'll need different file sizes for the images to maintain high quality. We've taken the guess work out of this for you and have simple download options for print, website, and social media sized image files.
